Good job cleaning the car

So far five stars. My car needed some planned maintenance and they worked with me to take delivery and schedule the maint for a later date. When the maint was going to take a little longer than I could wait, they gave me a loaner. Then! Returned my car to me at my office 40 miles away and filled up the gas tank. Every interaction, All be it never racking when buying a car, was a great experience. Omar my sales guy, Jesse the floor manager, Mr Lopez the finance guy.Hoping the used car will last years to come. More to come as the honeymoon phase recedes.Update: Jan17. Had a couple of codes pop up. Called several VW's near me to get in quick. Lithia got me in within a day, and communicated excellently through the repairs. Unable to provide a loaner due to them all being out. None the less, extremely satisfied with the service dept.

Volkswagen always amazes me with great customer service! Scott helped me with my service and explained everything to me and found a coupon to save me money. About three months ago I bought a Kia at Volkswagen of salem. The primary reason for the positive rating is the service department. I took the car back into a few days after buying it and they put all new brake pads on for free due to some light sqeeking. Then I brought the car back in for an oil change and metioned an issue because anther mechanic who I had the car inspected by suggested work that needed to be done and they did a diagnostic free of charge and everything was fine. I guess the other place was lying. Now for the negative. I orginally purchased an extended warranty that I wanted to have canceled and turned the paper into the dealership right after buying the car and 6 weekes later the warranty company did not have any record of the cancelation. It was not a big deal. I filled out the same paper again and got it cancelled but the dealership was not helpfull. Next the correct paper work did not get to the MVD on time witch coast me time and money. Granted one lady was extremely helpfull in getting the issue resloved. I havent bought a car from a dealership befor so I have no point of comparison for how the sales people are but I was not impressed. The car itself has been awsome! I would go back to Volkswagen of Salem to buy anther car because of the service department.

Technician forgot a couple of screws and required us to return to the dealership. It was not a problem. Service advisor was top notch as was the tech. Still looking for a 2004 Jetta engine pan - but that will come later.

Nick was a low key sales person. I was almost sold on buying another vehicle (different make) but my husband wanted to test drive a few other cars. The VW my husband researched I immediately rejected upon looking at it. There was nothing wrong with the car, it was simply not my style and this purchase was to replace my primary vehicle. Nick showed us a few more and I agree to test drive a Tiguan. The Tiguan is great. It was exactly what I wanted in an SUV. Nick even found a car with my exact specifications for seats, and interior/exterior color. We also went and test drove a few more and we went back to look at the car I almost bought, but I kept thinking about the Tiguan. Nick help us take it home for a few hours and we were sold. We also ended up staying exactly in our budget. I am so happy we made the effort to take a look at VW. Even my husband loves driving this car. The next car we get will be a VW or Audi and we will use Lithia again. They have a great service package and the first oil change was remarkably smooth. In retrospect, the only thing I would have done differently was gone in with my own financing. Lithia's team did a good job, but I did not like working with Ally Auto after Lithia was done. I refinanced with my bank. I was not entirely sure we would be buying a car that weekend, but it all worked out great.I should note, this is the second car I bought from Lithia, and both transactions were professional and exactly as I expected. There was no messing around, or game playing and I appreciate that.

I have never had the service as we had when we recently bought our car from VW of Salem. We were able to call in due to our hectic work schedules and Jamie Mogle was able to work through most of everything for us. This ensured that when we walked in the door, we were greeted and placed with an amazing team to seal our deal in less than 45 min, and off in our new car we went! We will NEVER look for another vehicle at any other location! Thank you VW Salem for our amazing car, the amazing team and stressless experience!
