About three months ago I bought a Kia at Volkswagen of salem. The primary reason for the positive rating is the service department. I took the car back into a few days after buying it and they put all new brake pads on for free due to some light sqeeking. Then I brought the car back in for an oil change and metioned an issue because anther mechanic who I had the car inspected by suggested work that needed to be done and they did a diagnostic free of charge and everything was fine. I guess the other place was lying. Now for the negative. I orginally purchased an extended warranty that I wanted to have canceled and turned the paper into the dealership right after buying the car and 6 weekes later the warranty company did not have any record of the cancelation. It was not a big deal. I filled out the same paper again and got it cancelled but the dealership was not helpfull. Next the correct paper work did not get to the MVD on time witch coast me time and money. Granted one lady was extremely helpfull in getting the issue resloved. I havent bought a car from a dealership befor so I have no point of comparison for how the sales people are but I was not impressed. The car itself has been awsome! I would go back to Volkswagen of Salem to buy anther car because of the service department.
