I had an overall good experience here. This was my first time purchasing a car from a dealer. I've always saved up and paid cash for cheaper used cars and fixed them up, but now we were in need of a newer bigger, nicer family car. (baby on the way!) After researching various vehicles was interested in purchasing a Ford Explorer and had found 4 online that were listed as being at the Salem VW Dealer. I contacted a Sales person there and set up a time to go see them. All of the ones I was interested in were listed below $15k which is where we had decided to put our purchase price cap. When I arrived the person I'd talked to was busy so another newer girl took over. The first one she showed us was listed at $16900, so nearly $2000 over what I'd wanted to look at. It was very nice but like I said more than we wanted to pay. We then spent nearly 2hrs hunting all over the lot, and 3 out of the 4 we wanted to look at were mysteriously missing. We searched everywhere with the sales person and no one was able to figure out why they weren't there. Hence the minus 1 star. They did end up coming down on the price several hundred dollars, although by the time all the fees were added on it was pretty much back up to the listed price. The sales people were not too pushy, and even put the car up on a rack in their service department so I could inspect it. This was very important to me and ultimately what sold me on purchasing the car. I'm overall pretty happy with our purchase. The car is beautiful and drives great. The only thing that would have been nice was some kind of warranty. Even a 30day warranty would have given me much more peace of mind but unfortunately there is no warranty at all on anything below $18000.

Worked with Koda over the phone to set up a test drive of a vehicle my family and I were looking at. We live in Eastern Oregon and didn’t want to make a long drive if the vehicle wasn’t going to be there when we arrived. Koda held the vehicle for us until we got there as promised. Took it for a spin and loved it. We worked with Koda start to finish until we signed at financing.Would buy from them again.

Went and got some maintenance done on my TDI. Was quick and easy. Had a loaner car for me and they were extremely patient when I requested to get in and out of my old car and into the loaner. Darien (if that's how you spell her name) is awesome. I had my son with me in the lobby during the visit and she was more than willing to go out of her way to get my son coloring books, and even stickers. It was an incredibly easy and effortless process. Even got a phone call from the technician when my car was ready and they were more than ok with me coming the next day to come pick up my car. Great experience overall.
We were greeted by friendly, welcoming young rep who introduced us around the facility offering a comfortable resting place, refreshments, free wifi and a free car wash while we waited for our oil change. All this for free oil change in a Ford F350 on a lifetime oil change plan purchased through another Lithia dealership several hundred miles away...an oil change for which no payment would be recieved! Volkswagen of Salem you rock!
Service department was A little spendy but you feel as though your car was loved.
