Thought it could be a horror story but Salem Volkswagen really stepped up! Bought a 2008 Prius, Daniel Sheets was my salesman and did a great job. Bought the car on Monday, "As Is, No Warranty," Tuesday afternoon after driving it about 15 miles, 3 lights come on to indicate a problem. Go online to see what they mean, not good from what I can find. I call Salem Volkswagon service department, tell them I know it's "As Is, No Warranty," tell them the situation. Service Managers response, we would never do that to a customer and told me to bring it in. I take it in, they have it a day and call me to tell me they aren't able to diagnose a Prius and I need to take it to Toyota. They add that they will pay for the diagnostics and go from there. I make appointment at Toyota and drop the car off. Get a call that afternoon that the car is ready. I ask what the issue was and what the cost is? Toyota tells me no charge to me, Salem Volkswagon took care of it, little over $300. Wish there were more businesses that care about their costumers like this. They could've easily used the "As Is, No Warranty" agreement I signed but really took care of me. Thank you Salem Volkswagon! I will be a customer again!
